# Sharepoint

Integrating Sharepoint with Introist allows you to sync data from Excel files in Sharepoint.

### Prerequisites

* You must have at least one Sharepoint Linked Account set up to Introist.
 * Go to **Introist -> Settings -> Linked Account** and click **Add account.**
 * Sign in using the account you are planning to use to access the file you want to connect
 * Accept the permissions
 * Your account is now listed in Sharepoint accounts

### Connecting Sharepoint file to Introist

1. In Introist, navigate to **Data → Data Sources**.
2. Click **Connect Data Source**.
3. Select **Sharepoint** from the list.
4. Give a name for your connection. For example the name of the file.
5. Choose your **Sharepoint account.** This is the Linked Account you connected earlier.
6. Click **Select a file from Sharepoint**. This opens a popup window (make sure you allow the popup to open) requesting you to sign in to Microsoft. Optimally, sign in with the same account you linked to Introist. This opens up a Microsoft file selector where you can select the file you would like to connect. Click **Select** to close the window.
7. Write down the name of sheet you would like to use.
8. Finally, click **Connect** to save the Data Source.

{% hint style="info" %}
It is possible to access the File selector with other account than the one selected as "Sharepoint account". If you do, make sure that the user of the "Sharepoint account" has access to the file you select.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.introist.com/knowledge-base/build/data-sources/sharepoint.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
