# Modify Employee

{% hint style="info" %}
If you have set up Data Source to sync employee information from your systems, it is not advisable to modify Employee directly in Introist. This is because the modifications in Introist will be overridden with the data from your systems when synchronised.
{% endhint %}

#### Modifying employee

To modify Employees information in Introist, start by opening employees page.

Select "Profile" tab to see Employees current information. Make the needed changes to the fields. Finally, click "Save" at the bottom to save the changes.

{% hint style="info" %}
Any changes to Employee information are automatically applied to employees active automations.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.introist.com/knowledge-base/build/employees/modify-employee.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
