# Archive Employee Field

#### Archiving a field

If you no longer use a field, it might be reasonable to archive it. This helps to only have relevant fields listed everywhere in Introist. Notice that archiving an Employee Field does not completely remove it, but merely hides it from everywhere.

To archive an Employee Field, click "Archive" in the fields action menu. Confirm your action by clicking "Archive". The field is now archived.

#### Unarchiving Employee Field

If you want to re-activate an old Employee Field, you can unarchive it.\
Start by clicking the action menu for the Employee Field listing and select "Archived fields". Locate the field you want to unarchive and click "Unarchive".\
The field is added back to your active field list and is again available everywhere in Introist.

```
The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
