# Draft step with AI

**Introist AI Assistant** streamlines the process of drafting complete workflow steps with simple instructions. This powerful tool can help you draft emails, schedule meetings, and create direct or channel messages effortlessly.

To get started, locate the AI Assistant in the Workflow Timeline view. Once you find it, enter your instructions into the input field. Your instructions can be straightforward, such as "Draft an email to the team about the upcoming project" or "Schedule a meeting to discuss the quarterly results." After typing your instructions, click the button next to the input field or press Enter to submit them.

The AI will process your request and draft the necessary step. Once the AI has completed the draft, a preview will appear. You have the option to confirm the step if it is satisfactory, improve it by providing additional instructions, or discard it if it does not meet your needs.

By using Introist AI Assistant to draft workflow steps, you can save time and ensure consistency in your communications and scheduling, allowing you to focus on more critical aspects of your work.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.introist.com/knowledge-base/build/introist-ai/draft-step-with-ai.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
